From a concerned resident:
Hi, today I returned from holiday to find your march newsletter in my letterbox. I read about a spate of bike thefts so went to check my shed… My £1500 bike has been stolen. It’s an ‘Orange Patriot’ which is bright blue and holds a lot of sentimental value. If you could help spread the word, a financial reward will be given upon the return of the bike.
If you have any information, please ring Dan on 07732811392
The landlords in Chester Green have set a challenge…..to enjoy yourself on a pub crawl in round the area…..what’s not to like! Drink enough (not necessarily on the same day!) and you’ll qualify for a free Real Ale Challenge T-shirt!

There were a number of street parties held in Chester Green to mark the Queen’s Jubilee. One of which was featured in the Derby Telegraph! See the story here 🙂
The party featured we think was attended by around 70 people and the rain managed to hold off for almost all of the day…..hooray. We should do this every year…..oh wait…..we do (already looking for next year’s excuse!)
Over the last year the Residents Association has been managing a project for residents of Little Chester to be given plants to brighten the public view of our lovely area. The grant that was obtaind from the council has nearly been used up, but the good news is that there is still a little bit left.
The areas of Marcus Street, around the Community Centre, parts of Chester Green Road and Camp Street have all looked great. If you want to grow (sorry for the pun) on these great innitiatives, contact me and we’ll see what we can do with the money that is left.

There will be the usual cakes, raffle, gold rush tombola, gift stalls, kids activities, refreshments and hot jacket potatoes for lunch. Also the back room will be chock full of bargain nearly new children’s clothes, toys etc!
Donations of nearly new kids stuff welcome (if you want 50% back then just label with your name and a price).
Be great to see you there!
